Pakistan has taken a significant step toward strengthening its digital economy with the launch of MARKAZ Industry Facilitation Center, a 24/7 support platform designed to assist IT companies, BPOs, call centres, and freelancers. The initiative, introduced by the Pakistan Software Export Board (PSEB), aims to streamline operational processes and provide unified guidance for the country’s rapidly growing tech ecosystem.
MARKAZ is envisioned as a one-window solution that simplifies key procedures such as business registration, acquiring regulatory approvals, and meeting compliance requirements. The facility offers assistance with documentation and processes across major institutions, including the SECP, PTA, EOBI, Social Security departments, and provincial labour authorities.
According to PSEB officials, the MARKAZ center will act as a direct coordination bridge between IT businesses and government departments. By facilitating quicker communication and issue resolution, the platform is expected to reduce bureaucratic delays that often hinder the growth of IT and IT-enabled service providers.
With its round-the-clock availability, MARKAZ will support companies dealing with export revenue procedures, regulatory concerns, and various operational challenges. The goal is to ensure a more business-friendly environment where startups and established firms can focus on innovation and expansion rather than administrative hurdles.
The Ministry of IT & Telecom describes MARKAZ as a strategic addition to Pakistan’s digital support system. The center is positioned as a catalyst for accelerating industry growth, enhancing competitiveness, and strengthening the country’s overall technological infrastructure.
