Ghani Chemical Industries Limited (GCIL), listed on the Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX: GCIL), has actively initiated the establishment of Pakistan’s largest Air Separation Unit (ASU) plant, its fifth at 275TPD capacity.
Located in Hattar Special Economic Zone, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, the company reported to the Pakistan Stock Exchange that the import phase of plant and machinery for this venture has been successfully completed, with customs clearance achieved.
Additionally, GCIL is concurrently progressing with the development of an import-substitute Calcium Carbide manufacturing project at the same economic zone, aiming to yield substantial cost savings and potentially generate foreign exchange for the country.
Both projects are slated to commence operations in the first quarter of the calendar year 2024. GCIL is primarily focused on the manufacturing, sale, and trading of medical and industrial gases and chemicals.
