To further strengthen the friendship and cultural exchange between China and Pakistan, the 2024 “Chinese Bridge” Summer Camp for Pakistani students began on July 14 at the Jiangxi University of Science and Technology (JXUST) in Ganzhou, China. This two-week immersive experience brings together 20 Pakistani educators and students.
Participants from institutions such as Punjab University (PU), Lahore University of Management Sciences (LUMS), Allama Iqbal Open University (AIOU), and Aitchison College in Lahore have gathered in Jiangxi for a journey of language learning and cultural exploration.
The summer camp, supported by the Confucius Institute Headquarters (Hanban) and the Center for Language Education and Cooperation (CLEC) of the Chinese Ministry of Education, offers a unique opportunity for Pakistani students and teachers to learn Mandarin Chinese, understand Chinese characters, and immerse themselves in Chinese culture.
Designed as a comprehensive experience, the two-week program blends intensive language classes with cultural workshops, traditional Chinese art classes, and excursions to historical sites across China. Participants will gain firsthand experiences of China’s heritage while also sharing their own rich culture and heritage with their Chinese hosts.
