Pakistan and China have successfully concluded their fourth round of maritime dialogue, aimed at assessing and strengthening bilateral maritime cooperation. The discussions encompassed a wide range of areas, including naval exchanges, regional collaboration, development of maritime infrastructure, joint efforts in fisheries, advancements in science and technology, search and rescue missions, disaster management at sea, and initiatives to combat maritime pollution.
The co-chairs for these consultations were Mohammad Aamir Khan, the Director General (China) of Pakistan’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs, and Wang Jinfeng, China’s Deputy Director General of the Department of Boundary and Ocean Affairs.
Throughout the dialogue, both nations expressed contentment with their enduring friendship and the robust All-weather Strategic Cooperative Partnership they share. They pledged to further enhance their maritime cooperation, recognizing the importance of practical collaboration in addressing emerging threats and challenges.
Pakistan and China emphasized the harmony of their cooperative efforts with a shared vision for a peaceful and prosperous Asia-Pacific region. The officials underscored the necessity of sustaining the momentum of bilateral exchanges and fostering stronger ties between their respective navies.
