The Punjab Excise Department has announced the elimination of the need to visit its offices for vehicle registration and transfer, introducing a new doorstep service.
According to the department’s social media announcement, citizens in Punjab can soon register or transfer their vehicles from the comfort of their homes.
How to Avail the Service:
- “Schedule an appointment for vehicle registration or transfer by calling the Punjab Information Technology Board’s helpline at 080008786,” states the Excise Department.
- An official from the department will visit your doorstep after scheduling the appointment.
- “Pay the registration or transfer fee conveniently through online banking, with the department official providing the payment slip ID (PSID) at your doorstep.”
- The vehicle owner will receive the allotted registration number at their doorstep, and the documents will be dispatched via Pakistan Post after scanning at the excise office.
This initiative aims to streamline the vehicle registration and transfer process, making it more convenient and time-saving for citizens across Punjab.
