For the first time in history, Pakistan is hosting a convention dedicated entirely to its overseas community. The three-day event kicked off in Islamabad on April 13, 2025, drawing more than 1,000 participants from around 60 countries.
Cultural Festivities and VIP Treatment
Attendees were welcomed as state guests, with a special helpdesk set up at the airport to receive them. The convention began on a vibrant note with a traditional food festival and folk music performances at Lok Virsa, celebrating the essence of Pakistani culture.
Government Departments on the Ground
Various state institutions—including NADRA, FIA, FBR, the Passport Office, State Bank, and NAB—set up service counters at the venue to assist overseas Pakistanis and respond to their concerns in real time.
