In a landmark moment for Pakistan’s startup ecosystem, Myco, the country’s fastest-growing video streaming platform, has clinched the highest win of PKR 420 million (~USD 1.5 million) at Silicon Valley’s prestigious global startup reality show Meet the Drapers.
Competing against 2,000+ startups worldwide, Myco emerged as the top startup of Season 9, securing a $500,000 investment and a $1 million SaaS service deal from legendary Silicon Valley investor Tim Draper — known for backing Tesla, SpaceX, Skype, and Coinbase.
This is the first time a Pakistani-origin startup has reached the Meet the Drapers grand finale and won the highest combined outcome, placing Pakistan firmly on the global innovation map.
The Journey to Victory
Myco’s road to the finale began in October 2024, when PakLaunch Founder Aly Fahd convinced Tim Draper to feature Pakistani startups on the show for the first time. Myco became the most-voted global startup and an audience favorite, advancing to the April 2025 grand finale in California.
Following months of due diligence, the final deal was sealed in July 2025, making Myco the No. 1 startup in terms of net outcome for the season.
Tim Draper praised Myco’s vision, calling it “the future of streaming” — combining sports culture, storytelling, and Web3-powered engagement.
