Pakistan’s Mohammad Rizwan has achieved a career-high position in the ICC Men’s Test Batting Rankings, reaching the top 10 for the first time. Rizwan’s outstanding performances, including unbeaten 171 and a solid 51 against Bangladesh in the first Test of their series, have propelled him into the elite ranks.
This latest update in the Test rankings also sees significant movements among other players. England’s Harry Brook has climbed to fourth place, nearing his career-best third position, following strong scores of 56 and 32 against Sri Lanka in the ICC World Test Championship series in Manchester. Bangladesh’s Mushfiqur Rahim has also made notable progress, advancing to 17th after a match-winning 191 in the first Test against Pakistan.
Sri Lanka’s Dinesh Chandimal and Kamindu Mendis, Bangladesh’s Liton Das, and England’s Jamie Smith have also seen improvements in their rankings. In the Test bowling rankings, England’s Chris Woakes, Asitha Fernando, Pakistan’s Naseem Shah, and England’s Gus Atkinson and Matthew Potts have moved up in positions following their recent performances.
In the Men’s T20I Player Rankings, West Indies’ Nicholas Pooran has entered the top 10 after strong performances against South Africa, while left-arm spinner Akeal Hosein has risen to second place in the bowling rankings, closely followed by teammate Gudakesh Motie.
