JDW Sugar Mills Ltd.’s Board of Directors (BoD) has unveiled plans to establish an advanced Ethanol/Distillery Project, revealed in the company’s filing on the local stock exchange today.
With a daily production capacity ranging from 200,000 to 230,000 liters, the initiative will leverage the company’s sugar molasses for export-quality ethanol. Termed state-of-the-art, the project aims for a Commercial Operation Date (COD) by January 2025, contingent on meeting all corporate and regulatory prerequisites.
Notably, JDWS is actively engaged in crystalline sugar production, electricity generation, and corporate farm management, diversifying its portfolio and signaling a strategic move into the ethanol sector.
