MALAYSIA: Pakistani athletes delivered an outstanding performance at the Hero Open Taekwondo Championship 2025, clinching a total of four medals — two golds and two silvers — in a tournament that brought together over 2,000 athletes from 20 countries.

In the senior category, Muhammad Umar emerged as a standout performer, defeating a tough Chinese opponent in the final to claim gold. His victory not only secured individual glory but also put his hometown, Kashmore, on the international taekwondo map.
The second gold went to Syed Hamza Shah, who dominated his division with commanding wins over opponents from Malaysia, Thailand, and Indonesia. His consistent form throughout the tournament earned him a place among the event’s most impressive athletes.
