The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has received government approval to proceed with the sale of broadcasting rights for the upcoming Season 9 of the Pakistan Super League (PSL).
Previously bound by restrictions necessitating government permission for financial decisions, the recent approval has empowered the PCB to actively negotiate and finalize the broadcasting rights for the PSL.
Technical aspects of broadcast bids have been addressed, with decisions on financial bids scheduled for Tuesday. Additionally, bids for the digital rights of the PSL will be opened later in the week.
This marks a significant stride in the PCB’s efforts to manage and enhance the commercial aspects of the popular cricket league in Pakistan.
