The Edhi Foundation, headquartered in Karachi, Pakistan, has proudly operated the world’s largest volunteer ambulance service since 1997.
Based in Karachi, the foundation offers a range of services, including a 24-hour emergency ambulance service, assistance to homeless individuals, free healthcare, support for drug rehabilitation, management of orphanages, and adoption services.
Additionally, the foundation plays a crucial role in disaster relief efforts both locally and internationally. Originating from Abdul Sattar Edhi’s creation of a small shelter, the foundation has expanded to encompass over 300 centers across Pakistan. In 2005, it contributed $100,000 for Hurricane Katrina relief, exemplifying its commitment to humanitarian causes.
