The Capital Development Authority (CDA) has taken a significant step toward youth empowerment and institutional modernization by approving an Internship Policy 2025.
In its 16th Board meeting chaired by Chairman Muhammad Ali Randhawa, the authority announced plans to induct graduates from top public and private universities across Pakistan in a transparent and merit-based manner. The program will allow young professionals to gain practical exposure by working across different formations of the CDA.
“The initiative will not only help meet CDA’s manpower requirements but also introduce a skilled and modern workforce equipped with contemporary knowledge,” Randhawa said, adding that the program will contribute to the professional grooming of graduates.
Alongside the internship policy, the Board approved several other measures:
- Space allocation for the establishment of an Anti-Narcotics Force (ANF) office near New Islamabad International Airport.
- Land allocation for a new police station in Islamabad, subject to applicable rules.
- A proposal to rename F-10 Service Road (East) after national athlete Arshad Nadeem, forwarded to the federal government for approval.
- Endorsement of waste management agreements with the Rawalpindi Waste Management Company (RWMC).
- Approval for the upgradation of statistical assistant employees in grades 15 and 16, in line with Finance Division regulations.
The internship program reflects CDA’s broader vision of aligning its workforce with modern urban management needs while creating career opportunities for Pakistan’s youth.
