For the first time in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa’s history, a woman has been appointed as Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP).
Ali Ayesha Gul, a native of Swabi and a Grade-18 PSP officer, has been posted as SSP Investigation Peshawar, where she will lead all inquiry and investigative operations in the provincial capital.
Previously serving as AIG Gender, Gul played a key role in shaping gender-responsive policing policies. She has also completed specialized leadership and investigative training abroad under a capacity-building program for mid-career officers.
Her appointment marks a historic milestone for women in law enforcement in a province traditionally seen as conservative, signaling progress in gender representation and leadership.
