Australia has launched a scholarship scheme to facilitate Pakistani students pursuing higher education in the country, showing commitment towards building educational ties and skills in Pakistan. The scheme has been announced by Australian High Commissioner Neil Hawkins that would provide opportunities for young Pakistanis to study in Australia and develop skills useful for the growth of Pakistan.
Hawkins said during his recent visit to Pakistan that Pakistani students are great in their potential and ambitions. According to the plan, fields that have significance for Pakistan and Australia would be highlighted. Such fields are involved in sectors driving economic and social development. This scholarship program also plays an important role in cultural exchange among nations. He also mentioned further sports cooperation, including hockey, where exchange programs would be initiated to bring youth together and strengthen the Australia-Pakistan relationship.
