The sale of motorbikes and three-wheelers in Pakistan has seen a significant increase of 15.19% during the first month of the fiscal year 2024-25 compared to the same period last year. According to the Pakistan Automobile Manufacturing Association (PAMA), a total of 84,993 motorbikes and three-wheelers were sold in July 2024, up from 73,588 units in July 2023.
Honda motorcycles led the market with a 13.29% rise in sales, reaching 70,255 units compared to 62,012 units in the previous year. Suzuki motorcycles experienced an impressive growth of 71.68%, with sales climbing from 957 units to 1,643 units.
On the other hand, Yamaha motorbikes saw a decline in sales, dropping 55.25% from 675 units to 302 units. Road Prince motorbikes recorded a modest increase of 6.88%, with sales rising from 1,118 units to 1,195 units, while United Auto motorcycles saw a 20.17% increase, selling 9,202 units compared to 7,657 units last year.
In the three-wheeler segment, United Auto saw a rise in sales from 43 units to 80 units. Qingqi three-wheelers also reported a 44.62% increase in sales, from 363 units to 552 units. Sazgar three-wheelers led the segment with an impressive 113.40% growth, with sales jumping from 761 units to 1,624 units.
