Pakistan’s Muhammad Usman triumphed at the 11th World Strength Lifting and Incline Bench Press Championship held in Ust-Kamenogorsk, Kazakhstan. Usman, the captain of Pakistan’s Strength Lifting Team, earned a gold medal in the 85kg Senior Class, demonstrating his exceptional strength and commitment, according to a press release.
In addition, Usman secured a silver medal in the Incline Bench Press category, narrowly defeating his Indian competitor. The championship featured participants from ten countries, including India, China, Nepal, Kyrgyzstan, Kazakhstan, Tajikistan, Mongolia, Sri Lanka, and Uzbekistan.
Usman’s achievement was further highlighted by his gesture of solidarity, as he dedicated his medals to the people of Palestine, raising their flag alongside Pakistan’s in a powerful show of support.
The Pakistan Strength Lifting Federation, headed by Chairman Manzoor Shaheen, President Aqeel Javed Butt, and Vice President Waqas Zafar, all of whom are international strength lifters, is organizing a grand welcome for the team upon their return to Lahore on July 23.
