Since launching its flight operations in November 2022, Fly Jinnah has swiftly emerged as a prominent player in Pakistan’s aviation sector. In a recent development, the airline has secured clearance from Pakistan’s Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) to conduct CAT III approaches, arrivals, and departures.
Fly Jinnah is now the sole domestic carrier in Pakistan with CAT III certification for its entire fleet and all pilots. This certification enhances the airline’s capability to operate seamlessly in challenging weather conditions, particularly addressing low visibility issues like fog between major cities.
CAT III is crucial as it supports landing operations in conditions of significantly reduced visibility, a vital feature for safe air travel. Additionally, last year, the federal cabinet greenlit Fly Jinnah’s international operations, allowing it to connect with destinations including Afghanistan, Bangladesh, Iraq, Malaysia, Oman, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, Thailand, Turkey, and the UAE.
Notably, Fly Jinnah earned the top spot in the Civil Aviation Authority’s domestic flight punctuality rankings a few months ago, boasting an impressive on-time departure rate of 87.93%. This achievement outpaced competitors like Air Sial, Air Blue, and Serene Airlines, reinforcing Fly Jinnah’s commitment to operational efficiency and reliability.
