In the initial four months of the fiscal year 2023-24, Pakistan generated $892.972 million from diverse Information Technology (IT) services, marking a 4.45% rise compared to the same period last fiscal year.
The export of computer services increased by 4.81%, reaching $721.162 million, while software consultancy services showed a remarkable surge of 93.76%, totaling $1.955 million. However, there was a 25.18% decrease in the export of information services, falling to $1.040 million.
On a positive note, telecommunication services’ export witnessed a 4.45% boost, amounting to $170.770 million. These statistics underscore the dynamic nature of Pakistan’s IT sector, with various services exhibiting growth while others face challenges, ultimately highlighting the country’s sustained contribution to the global IT market.
