A fundraiser art exhibition titled ‘SPERO’ opened at the Pakistan National Council of the Arts (PNCA) on Monday, showcasing an exquisite collection of paintings by various artists.
The exhibition aims to provide free treatment facilities to patients at Al-Wadood Hospital and was curated by Aasim Akhtar and Mehmood ul Hassan. The opening ceremony was attended by diplomats, government representatives, artists, and people from different walks of life to support the noble cause behind the event.
Prominent artists featured in the exhibition include Feheem Abbas, Hamza bin Faisal, Tahira Noreen, Kaiser Irfan, Jibran Shahid, Naqsh Raj, Unab Sumbal, Mehmood ul Hassan, Irfan Abdullah, Tahir Saleem, and Mahad Saddique.
Speaking at the event, Zahra Wadood Fatemi, who established Al-Wadood Hospital, highlighted the hospital’s 15-year mission to provide free medical facilities to countless individuals and families. She praised the dedication and compassion of the medical staff in delivering high-quality care across various specialized fields.
British High Commissioner to Pakistan, Ms. Jane Marriott, served as the chief guest. She lauded Zahra Wadood’s inspiring efforts in building the hospital and emphasized that the artwork in the ‘SPERO’ exhibition symbolizes hope for thousands of patients benefiting from the hospital’s services.
Senior Diplomat Tariq Fatemi also attended the ceremony. The exhibition will remain open for visitors until July 26.
