Peshawar’s Bacha Khan International Airport welcomed SalamAir’s inaugural flight as it arrived in the historic city of Peshawar. Airline’s inaugural Muscat-Peshawar flight touched down in the wee hours (03:13 a.m.) this morning. The inaugural flight was given the traditional water salute by airport’s RFFS’s fire tenders as it taxied on the taxiway-B. SalamAir’s Managing Director and Director of Operations arrived on the same flight too. Senior officials of the SalamAir Group and Menzies-Royal Airport Services (M-RAS) were also present to greet the aircraft. A brief celebration was held to mark the occasion organized by SalamAir and (M-RAS) in the CIP Lounge attended by CAA officials too.The carrier will operate twice-weekly flights from Muscat to Peshawar scheduled on Mondays and Thursdays, adding to their existing routes to Karachi, Sialkot, and Multan. The new route will provide convenient travel options for tourists and residents between the two countries.
