a leading telecom and ICT services provider in Pakistan, PTCL Group (PTCL & Ufone 4G), joined hands with Pink Ribbon Pakistan for a month-long breast cancer awareness campaign. This comprehensive effort underlined the Group’s commitment to empowering individuals in the fight against breast cancer and providing support to those affected by the disease.
The campaign commenced by turning the official company logos pink on all digital platforms. It was followed by an internal awareness campaign to educate PTCL Group employees about early detection and breast cancer prevention.
To enhance understanding and break down knowledge barriers, an awareness session in collaboration with Pink Ribbon was organized. This session featured a panel discussion with medical experts and those with personal experiences related to breast cancer.
A variety of awareness activities were featured throughout October to educate and encourage employees to actively raise awareness about breast cancer. Notably, a Pink Futsal Match brought together PTCL Group and Eikon 7 in support of the cause.
Employees were encouraged to wear pink and share their pledges at the Pledge Wall located at the Ufone Tower, publicly committing to supporting the cause. Ufone Tower and PTCL’s NEST Office were illuminated in pink to show solidarity and community support for breast cancer survivors.
Furthermore, a donation drive was conducted through UPaisa, and donation boxes were placed in office buildings to raise funds for Pakistan’s first specialized breast cancer hospital.
To conclude Breast Cancer Awareness Month, an awareness session was held at Edhi Homes in Islamabad, focusing on educating women and young girls about breast cancer. Through these initiatives, PTCL Group aims to stress the importance of early detection and create a supportive environment for survivors and those affected by the disease.
