The Zayed Sustainability Prize has been awarded to a Pakistani school, the KORT School and College of Excellence in Azad Kashmir, operated by the Kashmir Orphan Relief Trust (KORT).The school secured $100,000 for its inventive water conservation and organic farming project, triumphing over competitors from India and Bangladesh.
The accolade was bestowed during the UN climate conference in Dubai, with the prize money designated for initiatives targeting clean water and organic farming in rural regions. The Zayed Sustainability Prize specifically honors endeavors addressing health, food, energy, water, and climate challenges, emphasizing their vital role in sustainable development.
