Pakistani blind archer Tanveer Ahmed is set to return home tonight after winning two gold medals in consecutive international competitions. Ahmed secured gold at the Para Archery World Ranking Event in Nove Mesto, Czech Republic, and the 1440 Double FITA Round in Jabbeke, Belgium.
This marks a historic achievement as Ahmed becomes the first blind archer to win individual gold for Pakistan in the Para Archery World Ranking Event & European Cup 2024. He achieved an impressive 910 points to clinch the gold medal in the VI-2/3 category at the Double FITA Round in Belgium. Ahmed’s outstanding performance makes him the only blind archer to win gold medals for both Asia and Pakistan. He will arrive at Islamabad International Airport tonight.
