The Ministry of Religious Affairs in Pakistan has announced that the fee for hajj can be paid in instalments so intending pilgrims have more flexibility when covering costs for hajj 2025. Scheduled banks across Pakistan will soon open applications for the regular hajj scheme, which is expected to begin by mid-November, according to directives from the government.
The overall Hajj Policy 2025, which would encompass all the rules and regulations, is being finalized and will be presented by Minister for Religious Affairs Chaudhry Salik Hussain when he returns from his present foreign visit. New health regulations for pilgrims will be in effect this year. According to these rules, members with severe diseases that include heart disease, liver disease, lung disease, serious neurological or psychological issues will not be allowed to go for Hajj. Expectant mothers at more than seven months and members of communicable diseases including influenza, meningitis, COVID-19, polio will be prohibited from undertaking the pilgrimage
