MG Pakistan has expanded its electric vehicle (EV) range by launching the MG4 in Karachi. The car, previously introduced as MG Mulan in China, comes in two variants – ‘Excite’ and ‘Essence’. Sporting a robust motor with 200 hp, the MG4 accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in just 7.2 seconds.
It features a Rear-Wheel-Drive system, a 10.25″ digital touchscreen supporting Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, Vehicle to Load capabilities, and the MG Pilot active safety suite.
In terms of charging, MG claims the vehicle can go from 10% to 80% charge in just 35 minutes using a fast charger. The MG4 Excite, equipped with a 51 kWh battery, boasts an impressive 350 km range, priced at PKR 10,999,000 (excluding freight & withholding tax).
On the other hand, the MG4 Essence, priced at PKR 12,990,000 (excluding freight & withholding tax), features a larger 64 kWh battery, providing a remarkable 450 km range suitable for inter-city travel.
This addition to MG’s electric lineup aligns with the global trend towards sustainable mobility. The MG4 is now available at all MG dealerships throughout Pakistan, contributing to the country’s growing interest in eco-friendly transportation solutions. The launch emphasizes MG’s commitment to offering a diverse range of electric vehicles to cater to different preferences and needs in the evolving automotive landscape.
