The Oil and Gas Development Company Ltd (OGDCL) has successfully revitalized the Kunnar-11 well in Sindh, significantly boosting its production to 960 barrels of oil per day.
In a stock filing on Monday, OGDCL announced that, following a thorough reassessment of the well’s potential and the implementation of production optimization techniques, the Kunnar-11 well is now producing 960 barrels of oil daily. The well was completed using an Electrical Submersible Pump (ESP), which played a crucial role in enhancing its output. This achievement underscores the immense, often untapped potential of mature wells, showcasing how advanced techniques can breathe new life into existing resources, thereby contributing to the region’s energy supply and the company’s overall productivity.
