On October 30, 2023, JDC took a remarkable step by inaugurating a Free Dialysis Center in Sialkot. This center, generously funded by Mr. Tanveer, a prominent businessman, is named after his mother, Kulsoom Akhtar.
The initiative provides a lifeline to those in need, offering free dialysis services and easing the financial burden on patients.
Following strict international standards, the facility prioritizes patient safety through the use of one-time equipment, ensuring the highest hygiene levels. Used equipment is promptly and safely disposed of, guaranteeing a clean and safe environment.
Zafar Abbas, the General Secretary of JDC, had a visionary goal to establish 50 dialysis centers across Pakistan. This dedication has made his vision a reality, addressing the critical healthcare issue in a country with over 17 million kidney disease patients and limited resources.
Dialysis treatment, often unaffordable at over $3000 per year per patient, becomes accessible through such centers.
Recognizing the urgency and the growing number of patients in need, JDC has already launched free dialysis centers in various cities, including Karachi, providing hope to individuals previously burdened by the high costs of treatment.
JDC Welfare Organization, a non-governmental, non-profit entity, is committed to serving humanity without bias, aiming to alleviate human suffering and help people return to their normal lives.
As JDC continues to expand its network of free dialysis centers, it remains devoted to providing high-quality medical care, entirely free of charge. These centers represent a significant step in reducing human suffering and offering hope to kidney disease patients across Pakistan.
