The Benazir Income Support Programme has announced an increase in the quarterly stipend under the Benazir Kafaalat Program, raising the payment from Rs13,500 to Rs14,500 starting from the current quarter.
The update was shared by Rubina Khalid, who encouraged beneficiaries to ensure they receive the full amount of Rs14,500 when collecting their payments.
The increase is part of the government’s ongoing efforts to support low-income families and improve financial assistance programs for vulnerable communities across Pakistan.
Ensuring Full Payment to Beneficiaries
Chairperson Rubina Khalid urged all beneficiaries to verify the payment amount when receiving their stipend and immediately report any deductions.
Officials emphasized that the full payment of Rs14,500 should be provided to each beneficiary without any unauthorized deductions.
How to File a Complaint About Deductions
If a beneficiary receives less than the official amount, they can submit a complaint at the nearest BISP tehsil office.
Applicants should approach the assistant director or another responsible official and request a complaint form related to deduction or misappropriation.
While submitting the complaint, beneficiaries must provide the following details:
- Name
- CNIC number
- Mobile phone number
- Location where the payment was received
- Details of the alleged deduction
Officials stated that once the complaint is filed, it will be formally investigated.
Action Against Agents
If the complaint is verified after investigation, the relevant bank will be directed to take legal action against the agent responsible for the deduction.
Authorities confirmed that once the process is completed, the deducted amount will be returned to the beneficiary.
This measure aims to ensure transparency and accountability in the distribution of financial assistance under the program.
Helpline and Assistance for Beneficiaries
For further guidance, beneficiaries can contact the BISP helpline at 0800-26477.
Officials have also advised applicants to bring the following documents when visiting the tehsil office:
- Original CNIC
- Registered mobile phone number
If beneficiaries are unable to complete the complaint form themselves, office staff will assist them in submitting the application.
Strengthening Social Protection
The increase in the Benazir Kafaalat stipend reflects the government’s continued focus on strengthening social protection programs and providing financial relief to families facing economic challenges.
By increasing the quarterly payment and introducing a clear complaint mechanism, authorities aim to ensure that eligible beneficiaries receive their full financial support without deductions.
