The World Education Medals have announced the remarkable leaders making significant contributions to education across Africa, Asia, and Latin America. Among the finalists, Baela Raza Jamil stands out as the only representative from Pakistan.
Founded by T4 Education and HP, the World Education Medals recognize individuals who have shown exceptional impact, leadership, and advocacy in the field of education. Baela Raza Jamil, a renowned education advocate in Pakistan, has been shortlisted for this prestigious award.
Punjab Education Minister Rana Sikandar Hayat praised Jamil, stating, “I would like to thank Baela for her over three decades of dedicated service and her unwavering commitment to providing quality education to all in Pakistan.”
Jamil is celebrated for her tireless efforts to enhance education in Pakistan. Her contributions through Idara-e-Taleem-o-Aagahi and the Sanjan Nagar School—a pioneering IB school focused on transformative education for girls—have profoundly impacted the country’s education system.
She has spearheaded national movements for early childhood education, girls’ education, and education in emergencies, reaching over 20 million children and thousands of teachers within Pakistan and beyond. Her collaborations with governments, international organizations, and local communities have been instrumental in making education accessible and prioritized.
The winner of the World Education Medals will be announced in October.
