Pakistan’s batting maestro Babar Azam has returned to the third spot in the latest ICC rankings, recovering from his previous drop to fourth place after the England-West Indies series.
In the recent rankings update, Pakistan’s Babar Azam and New Zealand’s Daryl Mitchell are now tied for third place with 768 points. This update has pushed Babar Azam and Mohammad Rizwan down to fifth and sixth places, respectively.
England’s Joe Root has reclaimed the top position in the ICC Men’s Test Player Rankings following an impressive series against the West Indies. Australia’s Steve Smith and India’s Rohit Sharma are now ranked fifth and sixth, respectively, while England’s Harry Brook has dropped to seventh after a less impactful series.
In the Test bowler rankings, England captain Ben Stokes has climbed four spots to 30th due to his contributions as an all-rounder. Fellow England bowlers Mark Wood and Gus Atkinson have also improved their standings, moving up to 20th and 46th, respectively, reflecting their strong performances.
Among Test all-rounders, Stokes has advanced to sixth place, while Chris Woakes has moved up to ninth. India’s Ravindra Jadeja continues to hold a substantial lead as the top-ranked all-rounder. In T20I batting rankings, Yashasvi Jaiswal and Shubman Gill have made significant strides, with Jaiswal moving up to fourth and Gill achieving a career-high 21st place.
