Air Vice Marshal Zeeshan Saeed, Acting Director-General of the Pakistan Airports Authority (PAA), announced that the New Gwadar International Airport (NGIAP) is scheduled to become operational by the end of December. Khurram Mushtaq has been appointed as the acting CEO of Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) by the PIA Board of Directors, following the conclusion of Air Vice Marshal Amir Hayat’s tenure. Pakistan Petroleum Limited (PPL) has announced a notable gas and condensate discovery from the Upper Sand reservoir at its Pateji X-1 well in Sujawal District, Sindh. The well is producing 12.4 MMSCFD of gas and 196 barrels of condensate daily, with a flowing pressure of 2,551 psi. This marks the second success at Pateji X-1, following a previous find in November 2024. Operated by PPL with 63% interest, alongside joint venture partners, the discovery promises to boost Pakistan’s energy reserves and reduce dependency on imports.
