The State Bank of Pakistan (SBP) has successfully repaid a $2 billion loan over the past two years, according to Governor Jameel Ahmed. The government has maintained the petrol price at Rs. 252.10 per litre for the next two weeks, effective December 16, 2024. However, prices of other fuels have been reduced to provide relief. High-speed diesel is now Rs. 255.38 per litre after a reduction of Rs. 3.05. Kerosene oil has dropped by Rs. 3.32 to Rs. 161.66 per litre. while light diesel has been reduced by Rs. 2.78, bringing it to Rs. 148.95 per litre.
