Income Tax Relief Announced Amid Economic Recovery
Minister of State for Revenue Ali Pervez Malik revealed that Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has directed a reduction in income tax for the salaried class. Addressing the media, Malik highlighted a drop in inflation from over 35% to around 7%, marking significant progress in stabilizing the economy. The federal government has also collected Rs. 3,500 billion in taxes, demonstrating efforts to boost revenue.

Malik acknowledged the need to tackle tax evasion and strengthen the Federal Board of Revenue’s enforcement capacity. While some decisions were unpopular, they have helped put the economy back on track.
