The Islamabad Capital Territory (ICT) Administration is set to launch a comprehensive five-day anti-polio campaign starting on September 9. The campaign, chaired by Deputy Commissioner Islamabad Irfan Nawaz Memon, aims to vaccinate 421,455 children across the region.
The campaign will take place from September 9 to September 13, with additional rounds scheduled for September 14 and 15 to ensure full coverage. The meeting, which included District Health Officer Dr. Zeem Zia and Additional Deputy Commissioner East, emphasized the security of polio teams conducting door-to-door vaccinations.
Citizens are encouraged to cooperate with these teams and ensure their children receive the necessary polio drops. This campaign is part of Islamabad’s continued efforts to achieve full immunization coverage and move towards a polio-free future.
