Sindh Governor Kamran Tesori has announced an initiative to provide free solar panels to residents consuming up to 300 units of electricity in the province, as reported by ARY News on Saturday. In the project’s first phase, 9,000 solar panels have been ordered. These solar panels, along with their installation, will be provided at no cost, enabling recipients to utilize up to 300 units of electricity through solar power. This initiative aims to alleviate the burden of load shedding for many households, specifically targeting low-income individuals and those living in rented homes.
Governor Tesori also stated that the Governor’s House would be open 24/7 for the distribution of ration bags. Over the past two years, three million people have visited the Governor House, one million have received ration bags, and 8,000 laptops have been distributed to the youth. He emphasized that the Governor House remains apolitical, focusing on economic empowerment and community service.
