Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif inaugurated the upgraded Outpatient Department (OPD) at Lady Aitchison Hospital and the enhanced Eye Ward at Mayo Hospital on Monday.
During her visit to Lady Aitchison Hospital, the Chief Minister toured the Consultant OPD, general OPD, Antenatal Clinic, Nursing Office, and Triage Room. She inquired about the well-being of a mother and child in the ward, praying for their speedy recovery. Patients and attendants were pleased to see the CM, who showed affection to the children and held a newborn baby. She also consoled a patient and directed authorities to address his concerns immediately. The CM took photos with doctors and nurses upon their request.
Later, CM Maryam Nawaz Sharif visited the Ophthalmology Ward at Mayo Hospital to inaugurate its upgraded facilities. She inspected various rooms, including the OPD, operation theater, and CSSD sterilization room, reviewing the quality of construction and available facilities. Upgrades to the ground, first, and second floors of Lady Aitchison Hospital include semi-modular operation theaters.
