The messaging program WhatsApp, which is owned by Meta, is working on a new feature that will make file sharing possible even when there’s no internet connection. Users will soon be able to share documents, music, films, and photographs offline, according to recent disclosures.
With the use of this functionality, users should be able to transfer different kinds of files without needing to be online. Encrypting the shared files will guarantee security and stop manipulation.
The permissions needed for this functionality to work are seen in leaked screenshots from the most recent Android beta of WhatsApp. Finding neighboring phones that allow offline file sharing is a noteworthy feature.
On Android, there is a basic system permission for local file sharing that permits apps to use Bluetooth to find nearby devices. If users so desire, they will be able to disable this access. Before this update, WhatsApp already gave its users the option to pin notes.
