Since the World Cup qualifier against Cambodia, the 26-year-old Pakistani center-back has been in exceptional form for Sumqayt FC in the Azerbaijan league, scoring his second goal of the season by heading home in the 45th minute against Araz Naxcivan.
Despite his contribution, the match ended in a 1-1 draw after the opposition equalized. Currently, Sumqayt FC holds the third position in the Azerbaijan league with 31 points, trailing 16 points behind the leaders, Qarabag, who are also contestants in the UEFA Europa League.
In a previous October fixture against Sabah FK, Easah Suliman found the net in a 3-1 loss, showcasing his offensive capabilities. Despite suffering a meniscus injury before the World Cup qualifier round 2 games against Saudi Arabia and Tajikistan in November, the former Aston Villa academy graduate has been a stalwart in Sumqayt’s defense, starting in 11 matches so far this season.
With upcoming matches against Jordan in March, Pakistan will be reliant on Easah’s leadership at the back. Having represented Pakistan in seven international matches, Easah Suliman, a former England youth international, is determined to leave a lasting legacy for the Green Shirts in the future.
