Imran Kayani showcased his prowess by scoring a double for Whitehawk FC against Margate in the 7th tier of English football, the Isthmian League. The 22-year-old Pakistani football talent, who has earned two caps for Pakistan’s national team since his debut in November 2023, impressed with a dramatic stoppage-time goal in a thrilling 3-2 victory over Margate.
Having played approximately 14 matches in the 2023-24 season for Whitehawk FC, Kayani has already notched up five goals, further solidifying his impact on the pitch.
A product of the Chelsea youth academy, Kayani spent five years there before being released by the Premier League giants. He also had a brief stint with Kingstonian FC alongside fellow Pakistani player Harun Hamid during a loan period.
With previous experience at Dover Athletic and Sutton United, spanning different tiers of English football, Kayani’s scoring prowess was evident during his tenure at Slough Town, where he netted five goals in 41 appearances over two seasons.
Despite his football journey in England, Kayani maintains strong connections to his roots in Rawalpindi, Pakistan, reflecting his enduring ties to his maternal homeland.
