In a significant stride within the Khushhal Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Program, Justice (R) Syed Arshad Hussain Shah, the caretaker Chief Minister of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, officially inaugurated the “Program for Training and Employment.” This initiative is a targeted response to address youth unemployment by imparting practical skills tailored to meet market demands.
The inaugural phase of the program has a primary focus on training and placing over one hundred thousand young individuals, both within the province and abroad. Key sectors earmarked for skill development include Information Technology (IT), Nursing, and Paramedics. To facilitate program implementation, multiple Memorandums of Understanding (MoUs) have been signed between provincial departments and relevant institutions.
The launch ceremony, held at the Chief Minister’s House, brought together a diverse range of stakeholders, including provincial cabinet members, the Chairman of the Higher Education Commission, administrative secretaries, representatives from partnering organizations, journalists, and students.

The Training and Employment Program, an integral part of this broader strategy, aims to equip at least five hundred thousand youth with market-driven skills, specifically targeting overseas employment. The initial phase aspires to train and place over one hundred thousand individuals in both local and international job markets.
