Despite the umpire’s decision, Babar Azam walked off, acknowledging his dismissal. Following the dismissals of Imam-ul-Haq and Abdullah Shafique, Babar formed a crucial partnership of 92 runs with skipper Shan Masood, contributing 40 runs before getting out.
Opting to bat first after winning the toss, Shan Masood showcased an outstanding performance, accumulating an unbeaten 156 runs by the close of play. Pakistan demonstrated commendable cricket throughout the day, finishing at 324-6 after facing 89.4 overs.
