Mayor Karachi Murtaza Wahab inaugurated the city’s first zipline at Safari Park on Sunday, personally experiencing the ride with Deputy Mayor Salman Murad. Despite financial constraints causing delays in projects, Mayor Karachi expressed optimism about the zipline serving as a unique attraction for residents.
He also shared his vision of creating more recreational spots in the city. Deputy Mayor Karachi highlighted ongoing development initiatives across all districts and announced plans for horse riding at Dino Safari Park.
The zip line project was announced in August during the inauguration of the dinosaur park in Safari Park. The Karachi Metropolitan Corporation (KMC) had previously planned a zipline at Bagh Ibne Qasim near Clifton’s coastline, announced by Murtaza Wahab when he was the City Administrator.
However, the zipline is yet to be installed at Bagh Ibne Qasim. The newly inaugurated zipline at Safari Park adds a thrilling recreational option for Karachi residents.
