Pakistan has unveiled its largest-ever gaming and animation initiative, the Center of Excellence in Gaming & Animation (CEGA), in collaboration with Ignite National Technology Fund (Ministry of IT & Telecom) and HUM Network Limited.
CEGA will:
- Incubate 200 startups in five years
- Train 10,000 individuals in gaming, animation & interactive content
- Provide 100 free co-working seats for young creators
- Offer mentorship, funding & global exposure
Federal IT Minister Shaza Fatima Khawaja said CEGA reflects the PM’s vision of a Digital Nation, equipping youth with world-class skills and boosting Pakistan’s creative economy.
HUM Network CEO Duraid Qureshi called it a hub for turning dreams into global success stories, while Ignite CEO Rafique A. Buriro emphasized its role in building infrastructure and skills for international competitiveness.
CEGA is part of Ignite’s broader mission to strengthen innovation, startups, and emerging tech industries, positioning Pakistan as a regional hub for gaming and animation.
