UN Women Pakistan, backed by the Government of Japan, inaugurated the #KoiJawaazNahi campaign at Mohenjo Daro, using its cultural importance to combat gender-based violence during the “16 Days of Activism.” The initiative, set to illuminate landmarks in Quetta, Peshawar, and Islamabad with orange lights, signifies a future without violence, complemented by street theatre and exhibitions highlighting women’s economic empowerment.

The transgender community leaders, including Bindia Rana and Dr. Meereb Awan, declared active participation in the upcoming elections and announced a Moorat March in Karachi on November 19 to advocate for fundamental rights. Their agenda includes addressing violence, demanding job opportunities, and opposing discriminatory practices.
