As of October 2023, the State Bank of Pakistan (SBP) reported that foreign exchange inflows through the Roshan Digital Accounts (RDAs) reached an impressive $6.898 billion. During this period, $1.524 billion was repatriated, and $4.219 billion was utilized locally, resulting in a net repatriable liability of $1.155 billion.
In October alone, $142 million was received, $27 million repatriated, and $99 million utilized locally. The steady growth of RDAs is evident in the 1.9 percent monthly increase, with a total of 629,729 accounts opened since their launch.
October 2023 saw total net investments through RDAs amounting to $753 million. NPC Investments (Conventional) accounted for $316 million, NPC Investments (Islamic) reached $412 million, and Roshan Equity Investments contributed $25 million.
The Balances in Accounts were recorded at $379 million, while Other Liabilities stood at $23 million. These figures underscore the continuing success and impact of Roshan Digital Accounts on attracting global investments and fostering financial diversity within Pakistan.
