Director General Public Relations (DGPR) Punjab Rubina Afzal has announced plans to use artificial intelligence (AI) for media channel monitoring in an important step towards modernizing media monitoring procedures. This announcement coincides with the creation of Punjab’s first-ever cyber advertising policy.
During her visit to the Press Information Department’s (PID) Cyber Wing and the Directorate of Electronic Media and Publication (DEMP) in Islamabad, Afzal said these things.
Afzal thoroughly inspected the PID’s Electronic Media Dashboard, the Data Storage Center, and the DEMP Central Monitoring Unit during the visit. DG Waqar Siddiqui of PID Cyber Wing and DEMP Director General (DG) Imrana Wazir accompanied her.
Afzal received a briefing on social media and electronic media monitoring from PID officers. Addressing the meeting, DGPR Punjab stressed the integration of electronic media monitoring with contemporary needs, emphasizing plans to employ AI for this purpose.
Punjab has demonstrated its dedication to embracing innovation and utilizing technology for efficient government and communication through its efforts to implement AI for electronic media monitoring and create a cyber advertising regulation.
