The Pakistan women’s cricket team achieved a historic 2-1 triumph in the three-match T20 series against New Zealand at John Davies Oval. Their groundbreaking success marked them as the first Asian team to secure a T20 series victory in New Zealand.
Despite a loss in the third match by six runs (DLS method), Pakistan’s commendable performances in the initial two matches sealed the series win.
Standout players included Sidra Ameen and Suzie Bates, the latter earning the Player of the Match accolade, while Fatima Sana claimed the Player of the Series award. The focus now shifts to the upcoming ODI series of the ICC Women’s Championship, commencing on December 12 in Queenstown.
