Pakistani volleyball talent Murad Khan is on the verge of joining the Incheon Korean Air Jumbos, stepping in temporarily for injured Australian player Lincoln Williams.
Pending the completion of the International Transfer Agreement (ITC), Khan is poised to participate in the V-League game, with the ITC serving as a crucial authorization for overseas players to compete in leagues outside their home country.
Although initially unsuccessful in the Korean V-League tryout, Khan secured a spot with a Bulgarian team. Having also tried out in Turkey, Khan previously played two seasons in Serbia starting in 2021. The move to the Korean league represents a significant step forward as he aims to enhance his skills in a more competitive environment.
Pakistan Volleyball is in a positive phase, securing a Silver medal in the 2019 South Asian Games in Kathmandu, Nepal. In the previous year’s Asian Games, Pakistan achieved the 5th position in the competition, reaching the Quarter-Finals but losing to Qatar with a 3-1 score.
