Pakistan and Thailand recently agreed to supply the Pakistan Army with 100 “First Win” 4×4 armored vehicles. The agreement was signed in September 2024 and entails the transfer of vehicles produced by Thailand’s state-owned Thai Defence Industry Company (TDI) to Pakistan’s Heavy Industries Taxila (HIT). The transfer of production technology will allow HIT to locally manufacture the vehicles later on.
The government of Thailand will provide First Win in a small lot while the rest will be built in HIT and delivered to the Pakistan Army. First Win 4×4 is designed by Chaiseri Defense from Thailand; it is an all-terrain vehicle with flexible configurations, weighing 11.5 tons, it carries a two-ton payload and is, therefore, very versatile.
The collaboration will help demonstrate the positive aspects of Thai defense technology and enhance defense cooperation within the South Asian region.
